Carbon Poker

Carbon Poker is one of the few sites that accepts US Players. The online poker room was founded in 2004 and got a big player boost when they took over Their second big boost came very recently after the DoJ crackdown after which players from the United States could not play anymore on Pokerstars and Full Tilt.

Let’s take a further look at Carbon Poker in our review. I will look at different aspects: Players (level and numbers), games, bonuses, deposit options, software and support.

Player Level and Player Numbers

The traffic on Carbon Poker has always been fairly reasonable with enough tables open 24/7 but has seen a stormy rise in players since ‘Poker Black Friday’. The average level of players is much lower than at Pokerstars or Full Tilt.

Carbon offers a wide range of games, including: No Limit, Pot-Limit and Limit Texas Hold’em, Omaha Hi and Omaha Hi-Lo, 7-Card Stud Hi and Hi-Lo, H.O.R.S.E., Five-Card Stud, Five-Card Draw, A-5 Lowball, 2-7 Lowball, Razz and Badugi. Most of the action centers around Texas Hold’em, but other games are certainly played on a regular basis.

Bonuses and Promotions

Carbon Poker currently offers a generous welcome bonus of 100% to new players up to $600. Use bonus code ‘UPTO600’. If you sign up via one of the links on you are entitled to compete in future MPC tournaments and freerolls, exclusively for our players.

Deposit & Cash Out Options

For non-US players there are numerous deposit options like credit card, Neteller, Moneybookers, wire transfer etc etc. For US players the options are limited but depositing and withdrawing is still possible with PIC-Club and Click2Pay.

I personally really like the software of Carbon Poker. It runs very smoothly and everything is there and on the right place. Cool extra features include the ‘Rabbit Hunt’ option, which let you see an extra card if you folded your hand and the ‘Expose one card’ option. Really funny to get your opponents on tilt by showing a deuce in a big pot on a board of AAK109 for example.

For multi-table players: You can change the size of the tables to whatever size you want. The graphics are still clear, even with small screens.

The support of Carbon Poker is reachable through email on and always responds within 48 hours. I would like to see a live chat function or toll-free phone number, but I have to say the support responded fast and nicely to some questions I asked as a test.
