Oh yes, the very much needed poker accessories. Whether you are playing at home with your best friends, or in a live tournament at the local poker room, you are surely using the so called poker accessories. They consist of poker chips, poker cards and a couple of other things that we will detail in the following article.

If you are playing at home you will probably only need a set of poker cards (the plastic versions seem easier to handle, they look better and last a lot longer) and a set of chips of different colors or values. However, if you play in a professional poker room you will see that the dealer uses several accessories that you never even thought about before.

The next item in the poker accessories list is the card protector. You have probably seen that a lot of people use a coin, a cell phone, some chips or anything they can find to protect their cards. This is done in order to prevent the dealer from accidentally reaching and folding your hand. You can buy specific card protectors online from poker accessories sites and they are not too expensive either, at around 10 dollars per piece. They have some weight to them as well, so you can stop worrying about sneezing at the table.

The last in the poker accessories list is the poker table itself. You can play poker on any table or even standing, without a table, but the professional have specifically designed and manufactured poker tables. They are a bit more expensive and if you and your friends are not ready to spend a couple of hundreds of dollars on it, you might only see it in professional poker rooms. In any case, I can tell you that I have played on a professional poker table and it is really better than playing on an ordinary table. Make sure that you are using comfortable poker accessories that you actually like to make the entire experience that little bit better.
