Pokerstars will introduce own version of Rush Poker

News·

Now Full Tilt Poker is offline and left a gap in the market, Pokerstars is working on their own version of Rush Poker, according to a Pokerstars manager.

On poker forum TwoPlusTo ‘Pokerstars Stefan’ announced:

“Pokerstars is developing a fast moving ring games product. We expect it to be available for public beta testing in a few months.”

With the dissapearance of Full Tilt there is no place to play the popular form of poker in which you get dealt a new hand immediately after you folded. Full Tilt has patented this technique, so Pokerstars has to come up with something that is different enough to not infringe the patent.

That is, if a possible new owner of FT is able to maintain the patent. The patent status is currently ‘pending’, so a new owner has to really claim the patent. Rush Poker was very popular at Full Tilt, and better suited for playing poker on mobile phones and tablets. It seemed only a matter of time when other rooms picked up. Market leader Pokerstars is the first to take a crack at it, we will keep an eye on the developments!
