Pokerstars withdraws prize money of Sunday Million winner Jimmy ‘zeurr’ Jonker

News·

A few months ago we were the first international poker news source who brought the news of Jimmy ‘zeurr’ Jonker, the 6th place finisher in the special edition of the Sunday Million on Pokerstars. It appeared that Jimmy was 17 years old, too young to play online poker on Pokerstars.com according to the Terms & Conditions. ‘Zeurr’ played the tournament on the account of his 47-year old father Jos, but was a bit too talkative on his own Twitter account and on forums about his accomplishments. If it wasn’t for this, no one would have found out and he could have kept the money.

Pokerstars investigated the case and now finally came up with the outcame: they will not pay out the $518.000 prize money to Jimmy Jonker, but instead donate it to charity. The clues were too clear, and in the end Jimmy admitted that he played the tournament and was too young (first he claimed to be 19) accoording to a Pokerstars spokesperson.
